How the forecasts are made

Forecasts come from the Open-Meteo service, which combines several numerical weather models and picks the best one for each place and time range. Every town page asks for the forecast at its exact coordinates and elevation.

Reading the symbols

Each symbol sums up the sky for the period: sun, clouds, rain, snow, fog or thunderstorms. The rain figure is the amount expected over the day, the percentage its probability.

Hour by hour or 14 days?

The first 48 hours are the most reliable: use them to plan a day. Beyond five days, read the forecast as a trend — warmer or cooler, wetter or drier.
